It’s Today! It’s Today! It’s Today! It’s Today!

That is my favorite line from the movie Stuart Little!  The older brother is SO excited on the day that he is getting a little brother!  Turns out to be a mouse—something I am not so sure about these days (don’t ask!) but I love his enthusiasm, none the less!

And TODAY–I am enthusiastic as it is no longer February!   This has been such a looonnnnggg winter–but March, albeit cold and gray, means the end is in sight!   Hang in there peeps!

Speaking of “peeps”–Easter is coming—-but before that, St. Patty’s day is around the corner!  I had a pin when I was a kid (when I was a kid, there was a pin craze!) that said, “March the 17th, Sleep the 18th!”—I always loved that pin and it has always helped me remember  the date of St. Paddy’s Day (yes, I know I spelled that 2 different ways but I don’t think the Irish care about spelling so much!).

Over this vacation week, my daughter and I sat down to make this card together.   Love how her’s is off center–so NOT like her.   Livin’ on the edge!   Really, my favorite   part of this card is the —well–what do you call that thing?? The filigree circle type thing?   It is from a stamp set called “Artistic Etchings” .  At first glance, you think this set is very French–well, with the Eiffel Tower and “Amour” and all—but then you stamp that Filigree Circle thing in Pear Pizzaz and it looks sort of Celtic, eh?

I didn’t have a suitable shamrock but anyone who has completed a kindergarten art class or beyond knows when you don’t have a shamrock, look for a heart (or 3!).   The DSP  we used is from the level one hostess paper pack which includes all the incolors–Pear Pizzaz being so “In”, don’t ya think?   The words are from THE most versitile word set SU sells–“Teeny Tiny Wishes”.    Love that set because you can stamp the image and then use the word window punch to punch it out and it is straight every time!    Finally–I used a little bling with the glitter brads currently in the Mini Catalog.   I so hope we keep these forever!  I know forever is a long time but glitter brads—seriously?!   Such fun, classy little accessories!!

Time for Corned Beef!French Stamp? Nay, Nay, I say!
