Becky, you might want to divert your eyes!
I saw this adorable project months ago in a crafting magazine. I knew then I would would be making it some day. Well, Stampin’ Up! introduced their new Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334 $29.95) and the day to make this project had come.
I used a regular lunch bag that I trimed down just a bit. After covering the front of the bag with Big Top Birthday DSP (122348 $10.95), I “Simply Scored” a strip of coordinating DSP at 1/4″ intervals . I applied it to the project using Sticky Strip (#104294 $6.95).
The “buttons” are made by punching scallops out of cs, spritzing with water(…..or Stampin’ Mist if you like your buttons to smell nice…and who doesn’t , really?) and crinkling up. Once they dry a bit, I used a glue gun to layer 3 of the scallops for each “button”. Then attach to the project.
Now, I know that some of you are a little scared of clowns. I get it—I have the same issues with some old dolls (ahem!). But—if you don’t have those issues, you must admit this is a cute project! Just imagine this bag filled with party favors or snacks like caramel popcorn!!
If you do have those issues, the Simply Scored Scoring Tool can be used to make oodles of other projects….stay tuned!
