Today is……

National Bird Day! Yep–that magazine (PaperCrafts 365 Cards) is a wealth of info and I found out today is National Bird Day. But not THE National Bird Day—like NOT American Eagle Day—any bird….except for the bird often associated with Road Rage. I do not believe he gets a day.

Anyhow—I love birds! I love watching them and wondering what they are thinking. I love watching Robins listen for worms—-WHO hears worms–really—That is some sort of miracle! I love watching them to see who is the leader when they fly in a group. I love watching the antics that go on at a bird feeder. I even love trying to figure out WHY a woodpecker enjoys putting holes in the side of my house and wondering why he doesn’t have a headache!

Anyhow, I have lots of bird cards but the one I am showing you today was created using the Holiday Windows Movers and Shapers.

You can use your Big Shot to cut out the bird shape anywhere on the front of your card.   I used just the cut out on my card (does that even make sense?) from a sheet of the Twitterpated DSP.   The size of this little guy is perfect for a card front.    I used a tiny pearl from the Pearl “Sheet of Happiness” (aka “Basic Pearls” $ 4.95) for his eye.

I used the Twitterpated DSP from the New Occassions Mini Catalog as well as the brand new Adorning Accents Embossing Folders!   They come with 3 different designs but you can see the one I used was the hearts.   LOVE this!  I love how you can make a big statement but just using something so little!!!   You are going to love it too….and the best news of all is that the 3 of them are only $8.95!

Finally, the greeting comes from the Pursuit of Happiness stamp set.   We should all Live in the Sunshine!  Emerson was right!!

Hope you like.   Happy Bird Day!!
