I am working on some swaps for my annual Stampin’ Up! Convention. We demonstrators make lots of the same card and then “swap” with other demonstrators. You didn’t think we came up with all these ideas ourselves, did you?? Not only does this give us class ideas for the next year, it is a riot to see thousands of women (and about 5 guys) walking around with a pile of cards, saying, “Swappin’? Swappin’?”. OF course I am “swappin’ “!
I have a very simple sketch for a couple of my swaps. I am planning my Holiday card classes which will begin in August. I know that it sounds crazy to think about the holidays already but this is the time you HAVE the time! I love it when come December, you actually have all of your cards, ready to send. If you are thinking this could work for you, check out my upcoming class schedule here.
Well, I decided I needed a Hanukkah card in my repertoire but I don’t own a “Hanukkah” set, per se. So I did what I always do—I went to Every Little Bit. Here is what I came up with:
I used Pacific Point—a color I often have trouble with. Let me tell you, though, it is the PERFECT blue and works great with the Silver Glimmer paper. The Fancy Fan Folder adds just the right amount of “Somethin’, somethin'” and the card was finished off with the greeting from Delightful Dozen.
This is an easy card to whip up multiples of–Perfect for “Swappin'”!
