Back to Spool time!

It is that time of year again!  The Muscular Dystrophy Telethon is on  (Remember when it was on ALL weekend….or at least that is what it seemed like to me), the nights are getting cooler, the days shorter, and the kiddies are all going back to school!  Some of you long for more summer while others of you enjoy the school year when most things are more scheduled than the spontaneous summer schedule.    Well, either way, Stampin’ Up! has a great promotion for you this month to ease the pain or celebrate–whichever category you fit in to.

For each $40 you spend on Stampin’ Up! product, you will get to choose a FREE roll of stitched Satin Ribbon…and YOU get to choose the color!  The ribbon comes in all of the new In Colors~~Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, and Summer Starfruit!  It is soft and flexible and makes really nice bows.  You know I am not so much a bow girl most days, though, so I can tell you for sure that it also makes really nice knots!  (smile)  This promotion has no limits-for every $40 you spend, you’ll get a free package of 3/8″ Stitched Satin Ribbon. Go crazy!

Here is a card that my clubs made this past summer featuring the Primrose Petals Ribbon.

By this time of year, my flowers are always long gone but I feel like my neighbors’ flowers are going strong….That was the inspiration behind this card.  I feel like the flowers are always pinker on the other side of the fence!!  This “fence” was super easy using the Designer Rosette Die.  I just sponged a little “dirt” on it to make it more realistic and to pop out a bit.  The sky was made using a scallop punch as a mask and sponging bashful blue ink on.

Serene Silhouettes, Itty Bitty Banners, Designer Rosette Die, Big Shot, Itty Bitty Banner Framelets, Raspberry Ripple marker, Primrose Petals Marker, Wild Wasabi Marker, Crumb Cake Ink, Sponge, Scallop Punch, Primrose Petals Stitched  Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, Toothpick
