Wetlands—New Favorite Set

Standard

Ok–talk to me on any given day and I have a new “favorite” stamp set….or ice cream…or child, for that matter!  KIDDING—about the child, anyway.  Well, today, my favorite stamp set is……WETLANDS!    This is a potentially overlooked new stamp set in the “big” catalog.  What I love about it is that ANYONE can make this set look tremendous!  The artist who created has your back!  Check out what we did with this set last week at our team meeting:

blogaugust3.1This is an example of the “Reflection Technique” where you stamp on a window sheet, flip it upside down and rub onto your paper to get a lighter, slightly distorted “reflection”.  Works perfectly here!

Initially, I did the sponging using Soft Sky as the “water” and Marina Mist as the sky.   Susan, one of my bright and observant demonstrators pointed out it might look better reversed…..so  I tried it —and she was right!  At least I think so.  Tell me which of these you like the best.

Here is the original:

blogaugust3.2Subtle, but it does make a difference.  Let me know which one you like best.

Other:  Decorative Label Punch, Extra Large Oval Punch, Burlap Ribbon
