Onstage Swag and Upcoming Class

Onstage Swag and Upcoming Class

I had the chance to attend the “local” Stampin’ Up! Onstage this past weekend in New Jersey with a great group of my team.  There were hundreds of demonstrators at our location and thousands throughout the world getting their first glimses at the new catalog!   Here are some of my team winning prizes:

I know you are dying to see the stamps they won but we couldn’t disclose this top secret info so they had to hide it…or we would have to kill you.  And nobody wants that!  In any case, the new catalog goes “live” in January…just on time for Sale A Bration!  That is the happiest time of the year where you get free stuff for spending $50 or more on stamp stuff that you were going to buy anyway…..”so if you don’t know, now you know” (My nod to Hamilton!).

Look at that table!!!   Clearly experienced stampers–Diet Coke and more sugar than should be allowed in NJ!!  Good  Great (!)time had by all!

If you don’t have a demo and would like a copy of the catalogs, just message me below and I will be sure to get you one!

In the meantime, check out what we are making next week at my Holiday Stamp a Stack!  If you are local and want to come, click here to pick your session.

Have a Cuppa and Feel Better

Have a Cuppa and Feel Better

Last week at my demonstrator team meeting, we did a few make and takes that used the sweet new paper pack, Have a Cuppa.   This  comes in a pack with 48 seats of 6×6 double sided paper.  This size paper is perfect for so many things but seemed to be screaming to be made into a little tea treat holder.

Years ago–many, many years ago, I learned to make a diaper fold pouch.  It is EASY and requires no adhesive.  You can see a quick tutorial here.  So easy, right?   So now that you know how to do it, why don’t you gather some of that paper you have been hoarding and make a bunch.   If you use a 6×6 square, they are the perfect size for a small treat.  Given the it is cold and flu season, I decide to do a bunch using the Have a Cuppa paper and keep them on hand to leave whenever I see fit.

(Just so you know, I did NOT touch the tea bag—It is individually wrapped , albeit in clear plastic.  I am aware that nobody want me touching their tea bags!—That is how they got sick in the first place!)

I made a bunch!

Just a head’s up.  I don’t have the inside scoop but I could put money on the fact that is great stamp set, Sassy Salutations, will be retiring at the end of May.  It has been around for a while and is a fun font greeting set.  I use it all the time –mostly because accuracy is not required with this one.  If you are interested in it, I would get it sooner rather than later, friend!

Here is what the whole set looks like and here is where you can get it.

Splatter Technique–better for cards than mirrors!

Splatter Technique–better for cards than mirrors!

Happy Monday!

Before I forget, I want to remind you that my BOGO Sale is happening in my garage NEXT Saturday! If you are a stamper–you want to be here! Not only do I have hundreds of stamp sets to sell (don’t judge me!), I have Big Shot accessories, DSP, cardstock, ribbon, etc, etc, etc! I was “organizing” this weekend and forgot about all the goodies I am selling! Click here for more details and to RSVP.
Did you see that Blood Moon last night??! So fantastic! And CREEPY!

Speaking of creepy–check out the card we made at my monthly stamp clubs this past month:

blog 10.28

Do you see those white dots?   This morning, while brushing my teeth, I noticed a LOT of those ~~~in my mirror.  I think  this splatter technique is a much better technique for a card than for my bathroom!

IF you are interested in how to get this technique on your card, it is simple.  Mix up a bit of White Craft Ink refill with some water.  I used an aquapainter but you could do the same with a paint brush.   You want it slightly watery–think 1/2 & 1/2 consistency.   Then, with your aquapainter or paint brush, sort of flick it onto the card (I had previously sponged Tangelo Twist and Blackberry Bliss ink onto White Cardstock to get the creepy cloud cover).  Then–let it dry.

Now–if you want this same effect on your bathroom mirror–use Colgate—not craft ink!

Stamp Set:  Among The Branches

Ink and paper:  Tangelo Twist, Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White, Basic Black

Other:  Spiderweb Doilies, 2″ Circle Punch, 2 1/2″ Circle Punch

Silver and Gold….Silver and Gold—Time for a snack!

Standard

Do you remember watching Rudolph as a kid?  Remember the scene when Sam (?) the snowman starts singing Silver and Gold?   Do you remember getting up to get a snack?   It is not a bad song—and there is NOTHING wrong with Silver OR Gold….but it is, admittedly one of the most boring parts of that show!

In any case, today, Stampin’ Up? has released a new batch of deals for this week and it includes–Silver and  Gold!  These really are some fantastic products and will be great for your holiday crafting.  The Gold Glimmer Paper—So very sparkly!!!  You can’t go wrong.  And the Silver Glitter…..stunning!!  Pair it with any of the blues….or white and you have got yourself one gorgeous …..craft(Not sure what you are making with it but it will be BEAUTIFUL!).

My other favorite on this list is the Vanilla Satin Ribbon.   It will be a perfect match with the new retro feel designer paper that you can get….starting on September 1st!!!!  What ???  You don;’t have a catalog yet???   Let me fix that!  Leave me a comment below and I will get one to you!

1/2 Priced Paper Pumpkin–TODAY!

I know, I know!  I have been a negligent blogger.  If it helps, let me tell you that it is not only my blog I have been neglecting—I have also been a negligent cleaner, corresponder,  and gardener, just to name a few.

I returned home from the Stampin’ Up! Convention a couple of weeks ago and was on a ROLL to get things accomplished.   Somehow, however, my plans got waylay-ed by lots of other “shtuff “.

I wanted to let you know, if you haven’t already received it, your new Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog (Hand Made Holidays) should be arriving at your doorstep any day now.  If you don’t get it, please, please leave me a comment or contact me and I will make sure to get you one.

There are so many fantastic new products to keep you busy all fall!   I labored over what to order first and what could wait.    It was not easy!   Perhaps, just perhaps, I went a bit overboard on what I needed FIRST.   Ah well–occupational hazard.   In any case, my order should be in shortly and I will have lots to play  work with to create samples for upcoming events.   Stay tuned!

In the meantime, I need to tell you about this promotion that you DON’T want to miss.  Perhaps you have heard of Paper Pumpkin?  Perhaps not.  Perhaps you got it at one time but no longer receive it?   Listen up—I have seen the next 2 months and I think you are going to  be pleased!!!   And what will be  even more pleasing to you is that the first 2 months (month to month subscriptions only) are 1/2 price when you sign up before September 10th—-BUT don’t wait that long!   If you sign up today (August 10th), you will be sure to receive the August kit (in the next week and a half or so) as your first month.   Did I mention it was GOOD?   (Right, I did).

How do I do this, Betty?

Glad you asked–go here.  AND be sure to enter the code: HALFOFF.

Note:  this is for new subscribers–so this might be the time you want to sign up your sister, daughter, mother, son, or husband—-You get the idea!  In order to be new subscriber–you will need a new email.

Once you fall in love with the first 2 months, you might want to do a 3 or 6 month  prepaid subscription –be we can talk about that later.  For now–go sign up (and please list me as your demonstrator–THANKS!).  You won’t be sorry!

There are only a few more hours left of Stampin’ Up!’s Extravaganza!   Check it out here.

I have the most amazing group of demonstrators on my team.   Some demonstrate to make a little extra money.  Some are their own best customers and do this save a little money.  All do it because it is fun!  (If you have ever thought, “I would like to do that!”–check this out here—but don’t dawdle!  Today is the last day to sign up for $75!)

We had a little fun a couple of weeks ago making tags together.   Here are some of what we created together:

Snowmen are so enjoyable in December.  By March, they are a little old but right now–so sweet!  The great thing is that all of these tags are made with Stampin’ Up! products.   Consider making your own tags this year.  Supplies are minimal and the enjoyment of making them–maximal (Ok–I know that is not grammatically correct–but that is the way I feel!).

Hey–did you know that today is Tuesday?  That means, not only is it the last day of the Extravaganza but it is also the beginning of another “Weekly Deal” week over at Stampin’ Up!   Here are this weeks goodies:
