SO much going on! Who ever thought that summer was a kick-back and relax time of year was woefully mistaken. Here is some of what is going on in my little corner of the world:
Come learn to make cupcakes AND cards next Wednesday night at the The Cake Bar in Franklin, MA. The fine women of The Cake Bar are in charge of the cupcakes and I am in charge of the cards. You will leave with 2 of each
You must register with The Cake Bar so call them right away to hold your spot!( 508)553-8700.
Monday, I had my new catalog Open House! Here are some photos of the fun! I have been having a ball creating with the new products in the catalog and had a bunch on display. My guests made some projects featuring the remarkably large and gorgeous Delightfully Dahlia background stamp and the oh-so-trendy Bohemian Borders and Bohemian DSP.

The good people at Stampin’ Up! do their very best to photograph the products we sell in their catalogs. Sometimes, however, the photos just don’t REALLY represent how fantastic the goodies are. This year, I feel like we have THE BEST designer series paper that we have ever had—and the photos just don’t do it justice. I am not sure my photos are worthy either but I wanted to give you a glimpse at the GORGEOUS English Garden DSP and tell you my story:
This 12 x 12 double sided paper is STUNNING!! So stunning, in fact, you may be weary to cut it up and use it!!! I don’t think you are a true crafter if you haven’t had that thought, “but is this project worthy of using my favorite paper?!”. Truth is, YES!!! Use it up!!! (I know where you can get more!). It is PAPER, people! Your project IS worthy of it! And the recipient of the project–even worthier!
I wanted to thank a friend of mine for —really–everything! She is always there to help out and/or brighten a day. You must have a friend like that. I hope you do, anyhow. I recently got her a litle something (socks–don’t ask!) and needed to package them up (because without pretty packaging–socks are sort of a stupid gift!). I pulled out our new Gift Bag Punch Board and –yes–THIS DSP and made this:
(The ribbon is retired Hello Honey Satin Ribbon).
Here is a close up of the bag:
And I had enough DSP left over to add some to the card. My friend is ALSO worthy of using the Expressions Natural Elements. These little gems can be altered or used just as they are right out of the package. I like using “green glue” (Tombo Multi Purpose Glue) to adhere them as it is easy and reliable to hold 3-D items like this.
Here is hoping that you have a friend worthy of your prettiest paper~! Go make them something!!
Other supplies used:
Crazy About You, Honeycomb EF, Big Shot
