Got Scraps?

blog-12

If you are reading my blog and you are not a family member, I KNOW you have scraps of designer paper.   I have been on a campaign for the past few years to use up my designer paper.   The struggle is real!   You know you LOVE that piece of DSP and know you will never love another quite as much…so you never use it….saving it for just the right situation…..But that situation never arrises as you discover NEW, better designer paper–and ultimately forget about that “perfect” paper of yesteryear!

Just use it up!!!!!!!

And here is a great way to use up those little “bits” that are cluttering up your desk, as such, cluttering up your life!!!  Who needs a cluttered life?  ESPECIALLY on day 2 of the new year!!  I am here to help with your “De Cluttering” resolution!

Bonus–This will ALSO help with your “Keep in touch with those that really matter AND send out those cards I have been making” resolution!

This SIMPLE card uses a new stamp set called So Very Much that will be FREE during Sale A Bration (starting in just 2 short days!).   It is a sweet greeting set and the font is fresh and LARGE (when you want to send a note but don’t really want to write a lot!).

This card uses Stampin’ Up! Notecards and Envelopes.  You might not be aware we sell these but they are fantastic for a quick little note, come in White or Crumb Cake, AND just require REGULAR postage! 133766s

Here is another sample (from the same pile of scraps, mind you!) with the details.   So easy, so quick!  You’re welcome!

blog-12-1

If you haven’t yet received your Sale a Bration catalog and are a customer of mine, please contact me!  If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a Sale A Bration catalog, please contact me and I will set you up!

Thanks for stopping by.  Now get going on those resolutions!!!

Thoughtful Branches Coming Soon!

I AM in love!!  Thoughtful Branches is a brand new bundle being offered by Stampin’ Up! August 2-31 (while supplies last).

Hands down the BEST BUNDLE EVER released by Stampin’ Up!

PicMonkey-Collage

This is what it looks like.   Oodles of stamps and fantastic framelits to match.  When I tell you this is the most versitile stamp set I have ever used, I am not kidding.   It helped that the good and wise people of Stampin’ Up! released this set to the Artisans (REALLY talented stampers) ahead of the rest of us.  They got the ideas rolling.  You can see THEIR ideas beginning here.

The bundle is $52 (US) and I won’t even bother giving you the stamp set and framelit prices separately because it would just be plum crazy NOT to get the bundle!

I received my bundle last week and began to copy ideas and then I just couldn’t stop.   I LOVE this bundle (Did I mention that??)

This weekend was my team meeting.  Here is one of the make and takes we did (actually–this is slightly altered as I sponged brayered Island Indigo and then added a layer of Night of Navy towards the top).

Blog 7:25

While this set does not specifically have any holiday greetings, you can see how it could be easily used for your Christmas –or winter cards.

Tip:  In my opinion, the framelits with this set work best with the Precision Cutting plate.–and there is a fair amount of “paper poop” —but SO worth it!

Now–how do you get this, you ask?

IF you are in a club of mine, I will email you the code for your club order.   You can use that beginning on August 2nd.

If you have no idea what I am talking about, you can go here to order it–beginning August 2nd.   I would appreciate it if you use this hostess code: KFS969D2

If you do, I will send you another card made with this gorgeous bundle.

**Note:  Stampin’ Up! is offering this as a limited time deal.  They say if it sells well, we might see it again somewhere but no promises (I said that, not Stampin’ Up!).  That said, order it  (on August 2nd) right away and get busy!  You are going to love this set YEAR round!!

Stay tuned as I have LOTS more samples using this set.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wow!  2016!

I won’t bother to make excuses for why I haven’t posted in soooooo long.  Suffice it to say, life got busy.  In any case, I am back.  I assume you made and sent out some fabulous cards over the holidays….or at least made tags….or at least “pinned” what you wanted to do.  No matter–this is a judgement free zone.   Let’t move on to what is up next!

Stampin’ Up! has just released TWO new catalogs (Occasions–full of fun and fresh stamps and accessories, and Sale A Bration–full of FREE stuff you can get with orders of $50 or more until the END of MARCH!!)!  Technically, they begin tomorrow.  If you haven’t received a copy of them yet, leave me a comment and I will see what I can do for you.  Both catalogs will be online here beginning January 5th.

Here is a card I made using the new Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits.   I can’t show you the stamp set yet (just following the rules) but I can show you what I made with it.

blog jan42016

(Sorry for the glare on the white satin ribbon!)

Great news! You can get them bundled together (saving 15%) for $49.25.   Get yourself some ribbon as well and you have yourself a “qualifying” order!  That means you get to pick a free goodie from the SAB catalog!  Life IS good!

While this stamp set and thinlits won’t show up until Jan 5th (tomorrow!) in my store, stop over to see all you get today!  Then leave me a comment because you KNOW you are going to need this new catalog!  Not kidding!!

Thanks for stopping by!

Best movie EVER!

Standard

Last night,  7,100 demonstrators got to attend the first ever Stampin’ Up! Catalog Premiere!

blog april29.5

This is a photo of the Regal Cinemas (theatre 10–no Rio II tonight!).   Best movie EVER!!!   Really, tho–what a great way to introduce the new 2014-15 catalog to an audience that really cares what is inside that catalog.  I love my family but they really do not get appropriately excited about 45 new kinds/colors of ribbon!  This crowd did!

Lucky me got to attend with 14 of my own downline!  They know how to get excited about ribbon!!!

I am kicking myself today as I didn’t get great photos of all of us but here are some of my Power of Positive Inkers:

blog april29.2 blog april29.3

Can you feel their excitement??!!  Want to know what they were excited about??

blog april29.1

Ok–that isn’t really what they were excited about—just teasing!  But that is a little favor I gave my demonstrators so they could take notes about all the wonderful new products being introduced….and a little chocolate to help them through—it was the movies, afterall.  Everyone sneaks in chocolate, right??

Ok–so Shelli told us we could show the cover…are you ready??

blog april29

I know!   You are thinking exactly what I was thinking…..why do all stampers have perfect hands….and no inky fingers?!   I am here to tell you that is NOT the case.  If you have less than perfect hands and inky fingers when you stamp, you are not alone.  You can’t be on a catalog cover but you are not alone!

Ok–about the tabs.    I was a little tired when I got home but I HAD to go through the catalog.  I will show restraint at some point and remove some of the tabs….but at first glance, these are all the things I want!   That should tell you how much you want this catalog!

So–if you do want a copy of this catalog, be in touch with me and we can work out the details.

Thanks for stopping by!

Lacy looks Lovely with In Colors!

Standard

I promised you I would show you some new stuff…and I will…but tomorrow morning I am meeting with my terrific team of demonstrators, The Power Of Positive Inkers, and I have been working feverishly to get some samples and projects for them.  So I will share a lot more after tomorrow morning.  But THIS morning, I wanted to share with you an EASY card to whip together with a stamp set you probably already have, Lacy & Lovely.   LOVE this set–Has an Indian kind of look to it , in my mind.   Ok–here is Lacy & Lovely Meets In Colors:

sufancy

This card features the new In Colors:  Baked Brown Sugar, Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, and Strawberry Slush.

YUM , eh?    I think the color namer at Stampin’ Up! just might have some food issues!!  In any case, I LOVE the look of these colors together.   I have also been playing with mixing them with some “old” colors and the some of the “refreshed” colors and you are going to love what they look like!!  I promise!!

This card can easily be closely replicated (if closely replicating is the kind of thing you do! (you KNOW who you are!)) with Delicate Doilies or Circle Circus, too!

You can start ordering your new In Colors, along with EVERYTHING else in this new delicious catalog on JUNE 1st!!!

Stop by my store (it is ok to come in your pjs!) here.

Stop by my Catalog Kick Off~Buy One Get One FREE  on June 15th (10 AM- 1 Pm) (It is NOT ok to come in your pjs there, tho!)

Sneak Peek!

Standard

At the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference this past January, we were given this terrific new stamp set that is going to be in the 2013-14 Stampin’ Up! Catalog that goes “live” May 31st.   I love the style of this set, Sketched Birthday.   It has a sketch look to it (hence the name!) which is very popular right now–especially with ME!  I have been dyeing to use it….and yesterday, I did!   I can’t show you the set yet but I can show you what I made with it.

Designed by Betty Saccocia. All products Stampin' Up!

This is a little something for my friend who had a birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday, Paula!).   Old, clean jelly jars filled with Dove Chocolate up cycle into the perfect little gift.   Heck, old, clean SOCKS filled with Dove Chocolate would make the perfect gift.   Frankly, ANYTHING filled with Dove Chocolate makes the perfect gift!

One of my FAVORITE Big Shot dies made the cut and will continue to be in the new catalog, Designer Rosette Bigz XL.  LOVE that you can EASILY make a rosette of nearly any size with this die.  AND, another one of my new favs, the Silicone Pad , made the new catalog!  Yippee- Skippee!   SOON I will learn how to make a video to show you how easy it is to use the Rosette Die and the Silicone Pad to make your rosettes in a snap….but until then, let me try to describe it:

Cut out your dsp using the Rosette Die.

Fold along the score lines to squish your “accordion” together.

Use a glue gun and squeeze a blob of hot glue on the bottom of your “accordion”.

Then, quickly hold that hot glue down onto the Silicone mat.

Once it has dried (this takes only a minute), you now have (sort of) what looks like the end of a note pad.

Take the 2 outside pieces and glue together—INSTANT rosette!

Instant Rosette---All products Stampin' Up!

Instant Rosette—All products Stampin’ Up!

I know–clear as mud—I will get working on how to make a video–promise!

In the meantime, here are the supplies I used for this project.  If you need any of them, please feel free to contact me.   Remember:  new catalog coming the end of this month!  Catalog Kick Off in June!  Details to follow!

What to YOU love?

This page could be YOURS!

(original inspiration for this page was found here)

Love isn’t JUST for February 14th!  We would all be in trouble if it were!   This is one of the scrapbook layouts we are doing this THURSDAY night at my monthly Scrap Night.  You could insert pictures of ANYTHING you love…..people, desserts, vacation photos, clamcakes…..I don’t pass judgement!  (So please don’t judge me for considering adding clamcakes to my love page!!–Don’t knock ’em til you tried them!  And just for you who are not from New England, they are NOT a dessert—that WOULD be gross!).   I digress!

The other layout we are doing is going to be very “generic” so any photos you can dig up will fit perfectly.   Here is how it works:

You let me know you are coming.

I get your materials together

You show up (pay your class fee), make your pages.

Leave a happy camper and insert your photos at home!

The most important part of this today is to let me know you are coming so that I can get your materials ready for you.  You must RSVP by Wednesday night at midnight.   If you have never scrapped before—have no fear!  I am here to help you out!!

Ok–Stampin’ Up! has a few more OTHER things going on that I would like to let you in on:

su this and that

This And That is a new product line coming to Stampin’ Up in their new catalog (June 1st—yeah!).   This product is not for everyone.   BUT–if your taxes aren’t done yet (and you know who we you are!), this is something you are going to LOVE!!!  And if it isn’t for you, take a look at this video and I bet you will think of someone it is PERFECT for!!!

What do you think??   You can check out the specifics HERE.  This will be in the upcoming catalog but the bundle is available only as a “preview” (until April 30th).

Leave me a comment and tell me who came to mind when you saw the video???

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAImagine if one size DID fit all?  We can dream!

i paired the image with some fun dsp (that I also can’t remember the name of right now!).   I plan on sending this to a friend of mine who just foot a new job.   I bet there is some “smarty pants” in your life who could use a card!
