Hey! Did you realize that NEXT week is Daylight Savings? …Or the END of daylight savings??? I never know which. In any case, you are going to loose sleep. But have no fear because summer is coming! AND with summer comes bugs and plants… So in honor of that….and because I have a Stamp A Stack next week and just made this sample (wink!), here is a fun card to share with you:
It is tough to see (Ok–impossible!) but there is a window sheet in the “magnifying glass” and it is on to make it “real”. So fun! I copied this card from a fellow demonstrator and team member, Debbie FITZgerald. Thanks, Debbie!
This great paper, Inside the Lines, is FREE from Stampin’ Up! during Sale a Bration when you spend $50 or more. There are 4 different patterns to choose from (3 sheets of each )in the package of 12 x 12 paper. Right now, these “coloring sheets” are very trendy. I, personally, enjoy them…but feel a bit guilty just sitting around coloring…but when you are sending a card—that is all together different!
This card actually comes together quickly as there is NOT a lot of coloring involved….unless you want it to be!
If you are local, would love you to be able to attend my Stamp A Stack next week where this will be just one of the cards you make. You can see details and RSVP here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Top o’ the mornin’ to ya!
As I type, my house smells like a brewery! I am whipping up some Guinness Brown Bread and dipping sauce from the Raglan Road at Downtown Disney. Ah–March the 17th ! (Sleep the 18th!)
Yesterday I saw this post on Lisa’s blog. It was perfect! And I have been reminded by my youngest daughter, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”. This card definitely was NOT broke! I loved it and copied it nearly exactly.
Admittedly, I don’t use Cucumber Crush all that much. I just am not a Green Girl (altho I do recycle as much as possible! Winky Emoji face!). That said, Cucumber Crush is THE perfect green for St. Patty’s Day! And–it gets better– Just a couple of weeks ago, Stampin’ Up ! brought out a few new products for the end of Sale A Bration (the happiest time of year when you get FREE stuff from Stampin’ Up!). My ABSOLUTE favorite is the collection of Metallics Glitter Tape! You get 3 in a package–gold, silver and white –which you can alter. I think the easiest way to describe it is that it is like a thicker washi tape. IT is NOT picky like you would think glitter would be. VERY smooth and easy to tear. You can use a little or a lot! AND the gold is perfect to pair with Cucumber Crush on St. Patty’s Day!
The Flower Shop Stamp set has a matching punch (yeah!) which saves you the trouble of fussy cutting this flower out. I know you are grateful for your friend but you will be more grateful NOT to cut that flower out! I just altered it into a shamrock by cutting off one petal.
If you are looking for any supplies to make this, you can head on over to my shop here. Remember, you can get this Metallics Glitter Tape FREE until the end of Sale A Bration (March 31st) with a $50 order!!
Shoot–my dipping sauce is boiling over–Gotta go!
Today is February 16th which means were are half way through Sale A Bration! Not only that, but it means that there are BRAND NEW freebies you can get your hands on starting today. Check them out below:
How do I get my hands on them? Just order $50 worth of Stampin’ Up! products here and choose the freebie you want. Want them all–order $150 worth of goodies and pick them all. But not only that, if you have a $150 order, you are a “Party of One!”. That means you get even more stuff for free with your hostess benefits. (Stampin’ Up! does not judge “Parties of One!R”–Even parties of one need their own hostess!)
BUT–if you are going down that route, you probably have even more you want to get. Why not get the ultimate stampin’ bundle, get $155 worth of products for $99 (and NO shipping!)?? You then become a member of my team (and will be among some of the most talent, kind and FUN people I know!) AND can continue to purchase your goodies at a discount!

Everyone has their own style. We are reminded of that every day when we we see things we love or things that make us go, ” Huh?” (hopefully just in our heads!). Did you ever see a house painted a color that a house paint just shouldn’t be sold in? That is how you know, EVERYONE has their own style! (Altho recent posts on Facebook suggest that it is not necessarily a “style” so much as it is we just don’t all SEE the same colors!…Next time you are saying, “Huh?”, consider it might not really be that person’s fault!)
In any case, this past month, my club members created cards using the Sheer Perfection Vellum paper that is currently being offered FREE during Sale A Bration with an order of $50 or more. The paper is this fantastic thick-ish printed vellum paper that comes in 12 patterns (2 6×6 sheets of each)! I wanted everyone to be able to create a card that was “them” so I cut up a bunch of patterns and let them choose whichever pattern “spoke” to them. They then used our Stampin’ Write markers and colored on the back side of the vellum. Here are the results from my clubs this past weekend:
(Sorry this is a little blurry—but you get the idea):
So what is YOUR style? Which pattern would you pick? As it turns out, you don’t have to pick! You can get all 12 patterns in one package of this fantastic paper. AND–when you cut it up to this size (2 x 2), you get 216 little squares to create as you will. That is a LOT of cards!! You must act quickly, though as Sale A Bration ends tomorrow night!! You can go on line here and order right now .
Stamp Set: Hello Life
Paper and Ink: Pistachio Pudding, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sheer Perfection
Other: Stampin’ Write Markers, Big Shot, Chevron Embossing Folder
This week, I got to work with a fantastic group at the Norton Library. (To see my upcoming events, click here). I have said before, “Nice people stamp!”. True! This week, I have to add, “Nice people go to the library!” We had a good time creating a couple of springy cards. The first was similar to yesterday’s sample.
The second card we did was an easy, fresh card using some of the Best YEAR Ever FREE paper:
This paper is fun, fresh, and FREE! If you place a qualifiy order of $50 before the end of March, you get to choose a Sale A Bration freebie (Click here to check them out). This pack of paper is double sided and comes in 12 x 12 sheets (12 sheets total). You can make a whole lot of cards with this!!
We used the Mixed Bunch Stamp Set for images. That set is an oldie but goodie! The 1″ circle punch works perfect to pop out the images. And Many More is my go-to set if I am stamping with a bunch of people. It gives them plenty of options to stamp the greeting THEY need.
Ok–Time is a tickin’! You only have until Tuesday to get your Sale A Bration freebies with qualifying orders. Check it out here now.
Spring is in the air—ok–not really but wouldn’t it be nice if we could will it so!?! Here is a little inspiratieon for you! These are samples of more cards that we will be making on Monday night at my Spring Stamp A Stack. These notecard sized cards come together SO quickly. They use 2 inks (Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow) and 2 stamp sets–Lotus Blossom (FREE this month with a $50 order) and Gorgeous Grunge–perfect for when things don’t come out quite as clean as you hoped! You know what I mean (wink!).
Check out my upcoming classes here. I hope you can make one.
No, No! I DO NOT want to build a snowman!!! So done with winter! “The cold never bothered me anyway!”—NOT! Hate cold! Hate snow! Hate winter!
Ok–Now onto some happiness!
I made a few of these thank you cards recently and wanted to share the joy of using DIFFERENT colored Blendabilities with you. For some reason, I was blending using only one package (3 come in a back–light , medium, and dark). Then, I discovered this post from Alisa Tilsner from across the seas. I gave it a shot and here are the results:
I used the Papillion Potpourri, Lots of Thanks, and Gorgeous Grunge. Love that butterfly set! Look how well I fussy cut that butterfly:
KIDDING! I hate fussy cutting! That is why I LOVE this set–not one but TWO punches that match the butterflies!
Pull out a stamp set that lends itself to coloring and give those Blendabilities a shot! Get this–you can get FREE Blendabilites during Sale A Bration(through the end of March—but don’t wait!) with qualifying orders. Check this out here.
Let me know if you would like any of the supplies seen here or any other Stampin’ Up! goodies! Happy to help out!
Stamp sets: Papillion Potpouri, Lots of Thanks, Gorgeous Grunge
Other: Elegant Butterfly punch, Beach House Washi, Basic Gray Bakers’ Twine, Blendabilies
Remember this FREE stamp set from yesterday, You Brighten My Day? Well I am not done with it yet! Here is another card with a completely different look to it:
Oops–Looks like I should have put a bit more adhesive up on that top right—Sorry!
I love the bright pop of Tempting Turquoise when paired with Real Red. This card literally has “love” written all over it. I used the fantastically versatile Stacked with Love paper stack along with some fun Beach House washi tape. The paper stack is so handy because one side of the paper is JUST black and white while the other side features some Coral, Cantaloupe, and Real Red. Not only that but while there are some heart features in the paper, one side is definately neutral—because let’s face it, every card does NOT have love written all over it! AND–you get 48 sheets of 4 1/2 ” x 6 1/2″ paper in the stack! Surely you can do lots of projects with this one!
This punch set matches not just the heart image from this stamp set but the star image as well! And what’s more….this punch pack is ON SALE this week (* Only until Monday night so get them now!)
Squeal! LOVE when punches match!!
Here is a close up:
Here is a little tip for you:
When punching Glimmer Paper, turn the paper over so that the vinyl side is what you see through the back of the punch (Our punches work best used “upside down” so you can see what you are actually punching). For some reason, it gives a better , cleaner punch….Trust me!
Leave me a message and let me know what you think.
If you need any supplies or have any questions, call on me!
Stamp set: You Brighten My Day

Monday night I taught a class for the Chartley Garden Club here in town. There were about 14 or so gardeners…which is a bit intimidating to me because, while I LOVE flowers, I don’t know much about them…..and of course I prepared two flower cards for them…..I didn’t know what colors the flowers were SUPPOSED to be but I liked how they looked in the end. I will get a photo of the cards we did and post them soon.
In the meantime, I think all the ladies had a good time and I thinks some still have a little glitter on them. So yesterday, I sent them thank yous for inviting me (that is the PLURAL of “thank you”…..not “thank youse!”). Here is the card they will be getting today:
Here is a close up so you can see the text and texture:
I love that quote….and I love how they kept it in small letters the way e.e. intended.
I wonder if e.e. ever got in trouble in English class for not conforming to English rules on capitalization? hmmmmm….
When you are out today, see if you can hear nature laughing!
Stamp sets: Charming, Fabulous Florets
Paper: Whisper White, Mambo Melon, Old Olive, Cheerful Treat DSP (Hostess)
Ink: Mambo Melon and Old Olive Markers
Other: Big Shot Designer Frames (Sale Abration Freebie), Wide Oval, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch
When I am making a monogrammed card (or gift or anything), I never know if it is best to use the person’s first or last initial (“Last Iniitial”….sounds like “Jumbo Shrimp” and “Fresh Vintage”!!….oy–I need more coffee today!).
Anyhow, I am never sure which is best. And does it matter on the person–like if you are giving to a teacher, should you use the last initial as you never call them by their first name (except when you are in grad school and then you don’t have time for these gifts) but for a friend, would you use the first initial because, well….you are on a first name basis?!
I lucked out at Christmas this year because I made some notecards for the secretary at my children’s school….and her initials are SS!! Gotta love that!
Today’s sample (and there wasn’t going to be a sample today but I heard last night about some blog followers who get angry when there isn’t something new all the time (ahem, Tina!)) is my initial–and I went with just the first initial as my initials are “BS”–nothing you want monogrammed!!
This uses the FREE Elementary Elegance stamp set (SaleABration) the Scallop Squares die along with the Big shot. A little Crumb Cake seam binding and done!
