Stamp A Stack Samples

I had a great time this weekend meeting with my local group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators.   They are so talented and FUN!   I challenged them to come up with some “Manly” card samples this month.   I will take photos today of their works of art to share with you.

In the meantime, it is Stamp  A Stack week.   That means I am having classes where we will make a stack of cards.   If you are local, I hope you can attend!  (RSVP here.)

I apologize for this photo.  (Can I just say, it is time for a new phone!).  In any case, I hope you get the idea.  These are two of the cards we will be doing this week:

Both of these cards are using sets that will be retiring soon!  (Chase Your Dreams and Crazy About You).   I know!  It breaks my heart too!  If you want to see/purchase any retiring items, you can find then all here.

Time to spread a little happiness! Spring Stamp a Stack

Standard

Will this winter EVER end???  I know–spring follows winter–every year….but I am having doubts about that right now.   As I type , there is one little chipmonk sticking his head out of his little hole in the snow.  I can tell he is thinking, “WASSUP WITH THIS?!?!”   I am thinking the same thing!   True–it has not snowed in several days and the sun is shining.  A lot of snow has melted. I know I should not complain—but there is still SO MUCH SNOW out there!   And it is cold…and windy!!

Ok–enough whining!   Time for fun!   I am having a Spring Stamp a  Stack on Monday night.  All bright, fun cards!  Here are a couple samples of cards we will be making:

We will be making a total of 12 cards and these are just a couple of them.  I promise you will leave happy and with a stack of cards to spread even more happiness!

Last Christmas Stamp a Stack

Standard

Well, last one for THIS year.   Can you believe it is Thanksgiving????   Me neither….but let me tell you–every store out there has moved on from Thanksgiving several weeks ago!   It is now officially Christmas in the retail world!  I was trying to find some bittersweet and/or candles for my dining room table.  I thought I was doing well to set my table yesterday.  Apparently, I am still about 3 weeks behind!   I couldn’t find anything!!!   So “it is what it is”!

Ah well—Thanksgiving WILL be over in less than 48 hours so it is time to think about Christmas (if you haven’t already!).   I hope you locals can join me on Monday night for my last Christmas Stamp a Stack of the year.   Here are some of the cards we are making:

Quickest hand made card ever!

Standard

Last night, I had the pleasure of working with some of the new demonstrators in my Power Of Positive Inking Team.  If you are thinking you might like to be a demonstrator with my team, please, please just ask me for info.  Next week , Stampin’ Up! is offering a deal for those who sign up before August 28th–an extra $25 worth of goodies in your Starter kit—Squeal!!
In any case, back to last night!    We got together to chat a bit and stamp a few quick cards.   I started with a REALLY quick card that I did with one of my clubs on Friday night.   When I tell you this is quick, I am not kidding!!

blogaug19.3

This stamp set is a photopolymer set called Dotty Angles.  I feel like Dotty Angles could have been my best friend if I lived int he 50s.  Wouldn’t that be a great name??

I get so easily distracted!

You can’t really appreciate it in the photo but there are a few star sequins mixed in there.   They are actually really easy to adhere.  This is what I do:   I have an old chop stick that I put a little Tombow Multipurpose glue (“green glue”) on the tip.   I let it dry completely so that it is just tacky.  I then use that to pick up my sequins right out of the container.   I dab a very small dot of the green glue in various spots on the card (hiding anything I might need to hide–wink!) and place a sequin right on top.

SHOULD any glue oose out a bit (there is a very tiny hole in the sequin) , I let it dry and then take an adhesive remover it it when it is compleley dry.   EASY!!!!!

I used Crisp Cantaloupe and Soft Suede for the inks and paper.   Switch it out with a friend’s favorite colors or wedding themed colors, baby shower colors, holiday colors and you have yourself a custom REALLY easy card!

I have also done this card as really quick Christmas card!  I will show you that when I can actually think about Christmas….but not today!

Today I am thinking about the end of the summer and a great STamp A Stack I have planned for Monday night.   I hope you can make it!  Check out the details  and/or RSVP  here.

I apologize for the wonky photos but here are samples of Monday nights’ cards:

(I can’t take credit for any of them.   Found them all on Pinterest!—But I know what I like and these cards were perfect!   )
