At the Stampin’ Up! Leadership Conference this past January, we were given this terrific new stamp set that is going to be in the 2013-14 Stampin’ Up! Catalog that goes “live” May 31st. I love the style of this set, Sketched Birthday. It has a sketch look to it (hence the name!) which is very popular right now–especially with ME! I have been dyeing to use it….and yesterday, I did! I can’t show you the set yet but I can show you what I made with it.

This is a little something for my friend who had a birthday yesterday (Happy Birthday, Paula!). Old, clean jelly jars filled with Dove Chocolate up cycle into the perfect little gift. Heck, old, clean SOCKS filled with Dove Chocolate would make the perfect gift. Frankly, ANYTHING filled with Dove Chocolate makes the perfect gift!
One of my FAVORITE Big Shot dies made the cut and will continue to be in the new catalog, Designer Rosette Bigz XL. LOVE that you can EASILY make a rosette of nearly any size with this die. AND, another one of my new favs, the Silicone Pad , made the new catalog! Yippee- Skippee! SOON I will learn how to make a video to show you how easy it is to use the Rosette Die and the Silicone Pad to make your rosettes in a snap….but until then, let me try to describe it:
Cut out your dsp using the Rosette Die.
Fold along the score lines to squish your “accordion” together.
Use a glue gun and squeeze a blob of hot glue on the bottom of your “accordion”.
Then, quickly hold that hot glue down onto the Silicone mat.
Once it has dried (this takes only a minute), you now have (sort of) what looks like the end of a note pad.
Take the 2 outside pieces and glue together—INSTANT rosette!
